Professional integration & building your network

Atelier Chardon Savard - Professional integration & building your network

Internships are essential for applying classroom learning in a professional environment and for building a network in the fashion industry.

Atelier Chardon Savard encourages companies to send their internship opportunities to stage@atelier-chardon-savard.com, and provides tailored support to help students secure placements and first jobs.

Company collaborations and internship support

From the first year, students undertake internships to practise techniques and discover how brands operate.

The school organises workshops where you learn how to write a CV and cover letter, present your portfolio and build a career plan.

A dedicated industry relations officer helps you search for placements and guides you through each step:

  • circulating offers, preparing for interviews, drafting internship agreements, negotiating initial contracts, and advising on internship reports and final dissertations.

Internships increase in duration as you progress through the programme and become particularly significant in the final year when they help shape your professional project.

Internship calendar

Different programmes have specific internship requirements. Below is an overview:

Our partner companies

Dozens of brands and organisations host our students for internships and many have recruited graduates.

They include:

  • Ready‑to‑wear & accessories: labels such as A.P.C., American Apparel, Ami Paris, Claudie Pierlot, Lacoste, Le Printemps, Paul & Joe, Rouje and Zadig & Voltaire. These placements provide insight into high‑street and designer markets.
  • Luxury houses: renowned maisons like Balenciaga, Balmain, Chanel, Chloé, Christian Dior, Hermès, Isabel Marant, Lanvin and Louis Vuitton offer internships that expose students to the highest standards of craftsmanship and creativity.
  • Press & media: opportunities at magazines and agencies such as Figaro Médias, L’Officiel, Lucien Pages Communication and Reworld Media help develop communication and storytelling skills.
  • Costume design & performance: organisations like the Cinéfrance Studio, La Cinémathèque Française and the Opéra de Lyon give insight into theatre and film costuming.
  • Trend offices & institutions: placements at Peclers Paris, Trends Union and Première Vision familiarise students with forecasting and textile innovation.

These collaborations demonstrate the breadth of career paths available and the strong professional network students access.
