Mastère Créateur de Mode - Lucas Fouchereau

Programme overview

Over two years you will acquire the multifaceted skills of an independent fashion designer or art director.

You will develop an innovative concept for your own brand, design and produce your personal collection, oversee every aspect of its staging (casting, styling, music, make‑up and backstage management) and build both a professional portfolio and a viable business model.

A mid‑semester pre‑jury runway show allows you to test your concept with industry professionals.

Teaching is delivered by expert tutors and the programme is independent of the French state “Mon Master” platform.

The course develops specialist creative designers who can conceive and deliver fashion projects from concept to final show. Graduates will be able to :

  • Imagine and conceptualise an original collection by developing a personal creative universe linked to trends, materials and an affirmed aesthetic.
  • Design and model a coherent collection and translate the creative intention into strong silhouettes with appropriate technical and functional choices
  • Develop prototypes by experimenting with volumes, fabrics and finishes until final pieces are ready for the runway
  • Stage and promote a collection, directing every aspect of the show – casting, soundtrack and scenography – and devising communication strategies for diverse audiences.

The Master is designed as a two‑stage progression that builds your creative identity and then turns it into a viable professional project.

Year 1 – Foundations for a personal universe

In the first year you explore and define your own stylistic language. You experiment with mood boards, materials and forms, develop a coherent concept and produce a complete collection. You also learn to choreograph your universe for a preliminary show attended by professionals.

Year 2 – Strategic positioning and professionalism

The second year transforms you into a professional designer. You structure your brand identity and competitive positioning, plan a commercial collection and complete a minimum six‑month company placement to gain industry experience and build your network.

Learning is immersive and personalised. Courses are taught in person by designers, stylists, art directors and brand strategists, ensuring a cross‑disciplinary approach that combines creative, technical and strategic perspectives.

The pedagogy centres on the creative process, encouraging experimentation, risk‑taking, acceptance of mistakes and the emergence of a personal style. The fourth academic year (the first of the Master) is devoted to creation in a fully equipped studio; you benefit from intensive project supervision and key milestones such as an interim jury, the end‑of‑year runway show and a showroom presentation.

The fifth year focuses on structuring your brand and includes specialist workshops in textiles, sustainable sourcing, 3D software (Clo 3D) and collection planning, alongside an extended internship.
