Professorship Fashion Design

For the Atelier Chardon Savard at the University of Applied Sciences Macromedia Hamburg, we are looking for the winter semester 2019 (starting with a training period for the summer semester 2019 in Berlin) for a design personality, to run the study program Fashion Design BA as part of a

Professorship Fashion Design (m / w / d)
in teaching and research in Hamburg.

In addition to the acquisition and planning of English and German-language courses, you have a particularly high commitment to build the study program Fashion Design in Hamburg. It is also desirable to have a high degree of networking with key players in the fashion industry in Hamburg and Paris, as well as relevant teaching experience in the field of fashion design.

We attach great importance to the intensive support of the students as well as the readiness to take over and lead the tasks in the academic self-government. Very good knowledge of French besides German and English would be a plus. A university degree in fashion and / or design with 5 years of non-university experience. Applicants must be prepared to offer courses in subject-related fields. The future professor also has a high motivation to participate in the academic self-government. In addition, a special commitment to the successful positioning of the university is expected. Experience in the acquisition of third-party funds is desired. The university expects to be relocated to the university location in Hamburg. The prerequisites for appointment arise from the regulations of the Landeshochschulgesetz Baden-Württemberg (LHG BW).
