SOLEYANNE BALAND'S work during her graduating year as a fashion designer at Atelier Chardon Savard fashion design school has concentrated on drawing her inspiration form the dematerialized aesthetics of lights. She has translated it into a fashion collection with innovative prints, and 3-D shapes with a futuristic edge. When she was selected by an international jury chaired by Dr. Frank Cintamani to show at Singapore's Fidé Fashion Weeks 2013, as part of the Atelier Chardon Savard prize-winners runway show, she worked again on the staging of her show to put under the spotlight the metaphysical aspect contained in her way of designing fashion. Well-being, a sense of balance and even, a spiritual aspect are all part of the designer's DNA.
